At last! The day has come–as of October 17th, 2018, Canadians can now celebrate legal access to both medical and recreational cannabis (i.e. cannabis for fun + leisure!).

The specifics of these laws are still evolving and vary from province to province, so it’s wise to follow Health Canada to know the latest on the Cannabis Act and how it may impact you.

What’s consistent across the nation?

  • Adults can carry up to 30-grams of legally sourced cannabis for non-medical purposes in public (yes, even during domestic air travel!).

  • Consumption in vehicles is prohibited.
